THE LION COLLECTION

THE LION COLLECTION

A Rubeus dialogue between opposite energies.

THE POWER OF CREATIVENESS
The story of the Lion collection starts with two signature gem cuts created for Rubeus by the world-famous gem cutter Victor Tuzlukov. With exceptional mastery, he cut rare golden garnets in the shape of a lion's face, as well as citrines and Imperial topazes, rare golden-orange with red sparkle gems that were first discovered in Brazil in 1768. Then, he set to represent the stylized Yin symbol cutting deep-pink, almost crimson rubellites, as well as other red gems in oval shapes.

The Rubeus Lion collection: the light and the luxury

The founders of Rubeus, Viktor and Natalya Bondarenko, asked one of the most reputed jewellery designers of our time, Frédéric Mané, to develop a concept starting from these two exclusive creations.

Referencing neo-baroque aesthetics, he saw in the lion face nature's exuberance at its fullest, the blinding sunshine light, the Yang energy; while the smooth, curving lines of the rubellites' Yin-cut provided the impulse for the design of the second part of the collection as a tribute to the quiet and soft moonlight.

Brought to life by the world's best cutters and jewellers, the Rubeus Lion collection creates harmony between antagonistic yet complementary forces.

The birth of a masterpiece: the Lion necklace

The birth of a masterpiece: the Lion ring

Symbolising the Yang positivity, the first chapter of the majestic Rubeus Lion collection is a hymn to natural radiance.

THE LION NECKLACE

Like an intricate and luminous mosaic, a sunray motive of sapphires, rubies and diamonds surrounds the beautiful central golden garnet in the stylized form of a lion's face.

THE LION RING AND EARRINGS

Matching the exquisite design of the Lion necklace's central element, its glorious radiance is echoed by an equally precious ring and pair of earrings.

The inherent smoothness of the Yin symbol inspired also the refined oval cut of this ring's centerpiece, guarded by two watchful yellow citrine lions.
